Norwegian delegation visiting the Pannonhalma outpost

During their second day in Hungary, the Northern European partners attended presentations on the fire protection of the country with a special emphasis on the role of the outposts, followed by a visit of the Pannonhalma Disaster Management Outpost to see the practical aspects of the operation of the organization.
Dr. Ádám Demény fire service Colonel, Director of the Supply Centre (GEK) welcomed the guests at the National Directorate General for Disaster Management of the Ministry of Interior, followed by presentations delivered by László Bérczi fire service Brigadier General, National Fire Brigade Inspector General and Zoltán Fülep fire service Colonel, Head of the Department of Fire Protection. During the presentations, the Norwegian partners added their numerous remarks on the topic, sharing their successful domestic practical examples with the Hungarian professionals.
Following the presentations the delegation visited Pannonhalma, where they got an insight into the operation of the disaster management outpost. Guests were welcomed by Péter Sallai fire service Colonel, the Director of the Disaster Management Directorate of Győr-Moson-Sopron County. He introduced the outpost and also talked about the importance of the outpost programme, where the aim is to enable the rescue services to start the rescue operation as early as possible
